My Wardrobe
So the thing is I may have mentioned that my closet broke and all my clothes are falling down, probably because I have too many clothes. I've let the clothes sort of fall all over my room because I don't know where to put them.
You may notice that I do like color quite a bit. I like to think of myself as very colorful. I mean birds have colorful wings they use to attract the opposite sex, I have Macy's.
It has occurred to me that it might be time to temporarily stop buying clothes. In my defense, I do have some clothes that are too big on me. I should really either sell or give those away.
According to a study they did in the UK, the average woman wears a single piece of clothing seven times. Does that sound crazy small to you, or is it just me? I swear I've worn some clothes at least fifty times. But I guess there are also things I have worn like twice.
It just makes me think about how much I waste. Money, clothes...I come from a family of women who collect clothing. My mom may have more clothes than I do, and I may have more clothes than god.
I will admit I bought three tops today, but they were all under ten dollars. Is that a good argument? I know, I'm crazy. I used to be obsessed with food, now I'm obsessed with things made out of cloth.
Why do I love clothes so much? I think of it as an art. It's a way to express myself. The color I wear is usually based on my mood. Lately, I've been wearing a lot of skirts because it's so hot outside.
I mentioned in a past blog post that I will start wearing shorts. Well, that never actually happened because truthfully I hate my thighs. I do wear short pants or capris I guess they call them.
I went through a period a little while ago where I was obsessed with jeans. I'm over that now. I do have a bit of an obsession with tie-dye. It was in style like ten years ago, and I can finally fit into some clothes from that time period and it is in style again. So yay!!!
As you can see I will wear anything from blue fake fur to rainbow-colored tie-dye. I was into buying second-hand stuff for a while there, but I'm also over that. I do buy everything on sale and usually on clearance. I don't remember the last time I bought something full price.
It's too bad we can't bargain in America like they can in India. You should see my mom at the Indian clothes stores, she's hilarious. I wish I could bargain like that.
As much as I love my clothes, I hope I become too thin to wear all of them soon.
It just means I get to shop more!
