Hollywood Here I Come!

My friend and I wrote a screenplay and a Hollywood producer wants to read it! This is good news. Things are moving in the right direction in my life. I feel good, it’s spring, I’m writing and meditating. 

I honestly feel like something happened in my astrological chart that something like Jupiter moved into my stratosphere all of a sudden. Who knows why things happen the way they happen. I believe in karma, maybe I did something right. 

In my religion, Sikhism, there are two things that are important to do to live a good life, seva and simran. That is service and meditation. 

I don’t do much service to the world, but I take care of my father who is sick. I’m honored to help him considering everything he has done for me in my life. And like I said it gives me an opportunity to do something good for someone. I don’t go out of my way to do good things. I’m just a normal person, trying to get by.

I want to do extraordinary things, I want to write something that will make someone think or change the world. Because words and ideas can change the world. That’s the kind of service I really want to do. 

But the truth is, I’m ordinary. I like to think I’m special, that we are all special, but I’m just an ordinary person trying to get by without hurting too much. What I have learned this past year, which has been the hardest year of my life, is that life hurts.

But what I’m learning again right now is that it can suddenly be so beautiful. If life is anything, it is complex. It doesn’t make sense. It’s random. Who knows how long this good feeling will last. 

I am thankful though, for the good stuff. I have good friends and a family who loves me fiercely. I am thankful for the beautiful sun coming out this morning. I am thankful for the lovely music I’m listening to right now. 

They say the real prayer is a prayer of thanks. The universe understands thankfulness as a sign that you deserve more great things. When you say thanks to the universe it gives you more to be thankful for because it sees that you believe you appreciate it or something like that. 

I’ll be honest I don’t really know how it works. But I’ve heard that the universe is a big copying machine, if you say you are happy, the universe brings you happy things. I’ve heard the universe believes about yourself what you believe about yourself and brings you that experience. 

So I’m going to throw this out to the universe right now, I deserve happiness and love. I am happy and I have love. 

Thoughts are powerful. Words are even more powerful. And actions are the most powerful. Put those three things together, thought, word, and deed, and you have experience. I think I can make this good time last, I’ve said it, and now I’m going to live it. 

Hopefully that Hollywood producer likes our screenplay and wants to buy it. If he doesn’t, then I’m moving on. Something’s gotta give. And I got to continue to live.
